A Friend Fest

Hello sweet friends.
Happy Friday to you!

I officially started my Fall shopping the other day,
and bought these comfy babes at Target.
Seriously, you can never go wrong there...
well, except for maybe spending too much!

When my lovey got home on Tuesday afternoon,
he gave the fur babies a surprise.
A metallic dragon for Kaci and a whale for Buck.

Oh how I love our church.
We truly are blessed to have found a church home where
we feel accepted, and loved no matter what.
God is good!

Last night at church, the hubs and I helped with the video announcements.
I made these cue cards because even though it's just a few sentences...
this girl can't remember anything!

I made these sugar cookies last night.
I sprinkled some powdered sugar on them,
and they were delicious!

And of course you gotta eat the Halloween candy!
Gooey, green eye balls...
you should try 'em!

Now go link up...
It'll be fun!

Liebster Love...

Oh how I love my sweet bloggy friends.
So many All of you I really wish I knew in real life...
like you lived down the road from me and we could enjoy a
cup of hot chocolate while talking about anything and everything.
How fun would that be?

Sweet Jessica left me a neat little blog award last week,
and I wanted to say a big thank you to her and pass it along!

Liebster is a German word meaning
dear, sweet, kind, nice, good, beloved, lovely, kindly,
pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome.

It is passed along to up and coming bloggers with less than 200 followers.
So the rules are:
1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top five picks and
let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love too!

And believe me when I say I follow a ton of blogs,
and I love each and every one of them!

Now go, go, go and check these lovelies out!

Not My Thing...

I suck at this.
This called loneliness.

And seriously if you wanna laugh at me,
go ahead, because I know it's down right pathetic.

via

My honey left earlier today for a work convention in Atlanta.
Wanna know how long he will be a way??

Tuesday afternoon.

Yea, I know. I chuckle as I type this.
But I hate not having him here with me.

I admire my mom for being able to handle my dad traveling every week.
It's weird because before I got engaged and married,
I didn't think anything about how hard it is when your love is away.
But now that the roles are reversed...
I do not like it.

I have purposely made my evenings full with things to do
so I don't think about him being gone.

Is this odd or is anyone else the same way?
Maybe I regret I just asked.

And So a Lesson Was Learned...

I look back on the past couple of  weeks,
and I get so aggravated at myself.
I even feel dumb because I let myself get so wrapped up
in it, and involved in the thoughts and emotions,
that I want to just laugh out loud at myself,
and then cry.

For the first time ever in our marriage,
I had a for real pregnancy scare.
I say scare, but it wasn't scary...
it was hopeful...and it was wishful.
I found myself praying, and making promises with God that
if this was for real, that I would do better with everything in my life.
So not good, I know.

A couple weeks ago I mentioned in a post how I thought my monthly
was about to arrive because I had a few clues, and the headache I had just
would not let up.

.And that was it.
Nothing.

Days go by and before I know it it's a week...
and I'm late.
Then it's a week and a few days.
I'm never late.
I feel exhausted...
I'm moody...
nauseous here and there
and I just feel different.

It's funny because when the hubs and I were in
the moment of thinking I might be pregnant...
he was excited. He was stoked at the thought of having a baby.
And I enjoyed entertaining those thoughts in my mind.

but I'm not pregnant.

And I'm realizing now I put too much in to entertaining those thoughts...
that now I'm disappointed.
And realizing that I totally contradict myself...
is exhausting.

In My Perfect World....

The past couple of days...
or maybe even weeks...
I've let stress and tension get the best of me.
Why?
I have no idea.

When getting my Pinterest fix earlier..
I came across these fun prints,
and felt inspired to post.
I've always let the smallest things in my world expand
in to something far worse than what they really are.

I stress over things that won't matter the next day,
and lost sleep over things that cannot be changed.

I'm going to try my best to make it a point to take a deep breath each day...
and remember that if not all the popcorn kernels pop...

everything will still be okay.

Today All Wrapped Up

Hey hey sweetie pies...
hope you have had a wonderful Saturday!
  • The weather here today was absolutely breath taking.
So breath taking I actually asked told the hubs I was going to
join him on his tee time today.
Days like today make me not mind getting jerked around almost to the point
of thrown out the side of a golf cart.
Which made me determine you must pass a test to be able to drive
a golf cart.
And yes, I'm serious.

  • I'm addicted to this snack mix.
Who would have known spicy dried sea weed and kernels of corn
would be delicious?

I have a secret something that is consuming every ounce of my brain.
I'm praying, praying, praying...
and asking that you do too, please.

  • My hair is growing!
Remember when I cut it?
{no? well, ya can see it here}
Well..lately I've been missing it...
like bad.
It's not even long enough for a
hideous, short stub of a pony tail.

  • I wanna fly to California.
I wanna see my brother and his sweet wife.
{sigh}

  • Tonight for dinner we tried out this absolutely delicious,
cool and trendy place in Nashville...
well, on the outskirts of Nashville,
called Pied Piper Eatery.
We loved it.
The tables had cool pictures and lyrics all over it.

And the ladie's restroom?
While I peed I got to stare at New Kids on the Block
all over the walls.
And that in itself is a reason to try it if you're ever this way.

  • This evening was my hub's 10 year class reunion.
We were gonna go,
but Mike somebody forgot to send in the money by the deadline.
No names mentioned.

That's it friends!
Hugs.

11 / 52 : Round

topics

Isn't this the coolest picture??
When the hubs and I went on vacation,
we took a trip to the Pensacola Lighthouse.

Call me crazy, call me scared...call me whatever ya want to...
but this light house was a little too old and too high for me to
go skirtin' all the way to the top.
Knees shaking, both arms to the railing...
I headed back down midway to the bottom and
took myself a seat while I waited for Mr. Brave to finish.

Miscellany Monday : Columbus Style

Oh how I have missed these Miscellany Monday's!
I have been forgetting to gather up some pictures for
this fun, little link up till now.

Miscellany Monday @
lowercase letters

Sunday evening after the guys got done watching football...
we headed over to Mike's parents for a last minute bonfire.
I, of course couldn't resist getting the stuff for smores.
A bonfire without smores is like a
chicken sandwich without the chicken.

My kitchen smells heavenly...
heavenly like pumpkins.
I love this scent and along with my Fall decor
I finally put out...
the season has officially started now in our home.

I decided to post this picture for one reason...
I can never get a picture with this little guy.
He never sits still long enough for me to snap a picture.

 Mums.
I love them.

This past weekend I decided to head to the salon and
get a pedicure and my nails done.
Because of the crazy busy workweek...
I deserved this!

And of course taking the risk of dropping your camera in the bath tub
just to show you a random picture of my feet...
is totally worth it when you blog, right?

That Means You Aren't Pregnant

Sitting on the couch trying to decide when I wanted to
start cooking dinner, I picked at my nails in boredom...
wondering when my hubs was going to say something about the clean house.

"House looks great babe"...he said walking in the living room basically in shock that
I finally got around to sweeping the floor and dusting the furniture.

"Thanks lovey. I have such a headache though"...rubbing my forehead.
"I think I'm about to start."
{which means Aunt Flo coming to town}

"Good...that means you aren't pregnant."

Earlier in times I would have shot back with some catchy remark
in hopes we'd fall in to a discussion of our future...
hoping there would be some sort of new plan like we'd start trying for
a baby at the New Year,
or at his next job promotion.

But in stead...
I just sat there and smiled.

I'm finally at peace with things right now.
I haven't sent him a picture of any cute baby clothes,
or any names I think sound good.
As much as I would like to say we have started trying to get pregnant..
we haven't.
And I'm okay with that.

She Stole my Pillow

The other day I found this huge, funky green pillow...
basically brand new at Goodwill.

The color was different, and the texture was cool so I figured
what the hey, it's 6 bucks...I'll take it.

Apparently not only does the hubs and I think it's comfy,
but the fur babies do too!

I think she looks kinda pretty on it.
I'll let her slide.

Mid week Loveys

Hello pretty people.
Ya know what?
I'm so thankful for you.
Seriously.
 I mean that.
This blog is always, always on my brain
like when I'm out and about...
I'm always in blog mode looking for awesome deals for
any upcoming give-a-ways...
or anything fun and inspiring to write about.
You girls {and guys if there is any} make my day...
and I know I might not comment as much as I should, or reply back to
any comments I might get...
I do read them all.
So thank you!

Tonight I cooked Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches...
and oh my word...
not to toot my own horn,
but they seriously were wonderful.

Toasted white hoagie buns, 2 boneless thin round Angus steaks cooked in Worcestershire Sauce,
a couple slices of onion and green pepper {all cooked together},
mayo, mozzarella cheese,
and finally this stuff...
friends,
this garlic blend is what did the trick and made it burst with flavor.

I got it in the produce department,
and I love it!
I paired the sandwiches with squash and zucchini and it was plenty!

Early this week my 31 order came in!
I was so excited when I saw the bright pink bag sitting in my station at work!
I love this purse because it's a cross body style...
so it's comfortable.

The weather has been incredible lately.
This past Sunday my love and Cameron got out in the front yard
and played some football.
I love watching them together.

Tonight I snagged a quote a friend shared on Facebook,
from the wise man Steve Jobs who passed away today...

Those words hold so much meaning to them.
And I will remember them always.

Good night friends!

I Could See Myself on Greys..

Okay, so don't laugh.
{I know you are...but that's alright, cause I am too}
I know the hubs and I are a tad bit late on the whole
Grey's thing...
but seriously...I've become that crazy obsessed
"let's watch 3-4 episodes at a time"
addict.

sigh.
I think it looks natural...
and wonderful.
McDreamy?

Honestly...I'm digging George.

Brother and Sister

Today's weather has been glorious...
blue skies, a very cool breeze, and some amazing sunshine.

The heat was turned off, and the windows have been up...
and I am absolutely loving it!

The puppies are enjoying the weather as well.

Apparently she has some leftover peanut butter stuck to her face...

What can I say...
they fight play like brother and sister.

According to my Droid

Since becoming a Pinterest addict,
my craftiness has sky rocketed.
Newspapers + canvas + paint = this concoction for my love.
His reaction? A smile and a little chuckle.

I do want to get back in to my art work, and do it for real this time.
It used to be a hobby of mine and it quickly faded.
Maybe soon I will pick it back up again.

I never knew an almost empty peanut butter jar would grasp the attention
of two feisty puppies. It's been cheap entertainment I must say!

This afternoon I worked a booth at the local Gallatin Main Street Festival.
The weather was perfect, although a little chilly.
The people watching made it every bit worth it though.

These shells from Florida make me wanna head back
to the condo asap!
Oh how I miss it!

I love SiriusXM Radio.
Who doesn't love Elton John's Tiny Dancer...
not me!

And speaking of weather...
yesterday I was able to sit under the trees on my lunch break and
enjoy the crisp, cool Fall air...
I sure do love it!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!
