Officially Brain Dumping.

With not blogging every single day like I had been...
it seems like I can't just blog about one thing in particular.
So this post I'm calling my brain dump.

1. I'm counting down the days till my love and I head to the beach.

Pensacola Beach, Florida.
Yes please.

2. The hubs has started Fantasy Football as of this past Sunday.
This means intense rituals of scoping out every football game
hoping his players do well.

 Oh joy.

 3. My coworker friends love, love, love this show.
I've never watched it, but since I love anything of this nature...
I thought I'd give it a go.

Reviews to come soon!

4. This Saturday we are planning on taking Cameron to the Nashville Science center.
I'm looking forward to going and taking some good pictures.

5. I've had to really pray about something heavy on my heart lately.
It's something I feel horrible for thinking, but goodness it can be hard at times.

6. Last night I attended my hubby's company talent show.
It was so fun, and I'm so glad I got to join him.
I met a ton of people that he works with.

7.  I have found another recipe website that I have been glued to.
Crock Pot Girls that everyone been raving about on Face Book.
So, so cool!

8. Friday I am hosting a Lia Sophia jewelry party...
I didn't send out invitations to anyone because I knew majority of the people
were either a) already hosting a party or b) the people who would be able to come
would be the people I work with. Why waste the paper?
So...with that being said...if you're a local friend and would like to come,
email me and I'll tell ya the info.

Well...I'm gonna go love on the puppies and take a shower!
Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!

Class of '01- Hub's Turn.

Mike's ten year class reunion was last night...
well, from the school he would have graduated from if he hadn't
transferred schools.
It was one of those things he felt bad if he would have gone
without graduating he decided to not go.

we did go to the first football game of the season Friday night.
And let me tell ya..
it was a whole different world.

The girls dressed as if they were street walkers,
and the language these kids used...
well let's just say I'd like to think I hadn't heard of those
words, sentences and slang when I was in high school.
My hubs had to explain to me the difference between inner city schools
and county schools which in these days I honestly don't know if there is much
of a difference.

On the way to the game I wondered how my lovey was gonna
feel going back to a place that kinda sorta left a tender spot in his heart.

His Sophmore year he was Quarterback of the team,
playing at his all time best...
foreseeing that if he continued to work hard,
and stay on track...
he could have gone and played in College.

Transferring schools at such a time,
he never played High school football again.

He said he was alright, but I think seeing those kids on the field with
the same exact football jerseys he once wore...
brought back a flood of emotions to the hubs.

It was fun listening to the memories he had while he attended school there
and seeing where he practiced and hung out with friends.

Thank the good Lord I had Bridget there by my side...
I was certain we were gonna get b**ch slapped by these girls
at some point for sitting on their turf.

The Next J. K. Rowling....

Meet Caroline..
one of the cutest 5 year old's you'll ever meet.
Last night I had the pleasure of hanging out with her.
We colored Snow White pictures for each other, watched Gnomeo and Juliet,
and I even learned how to play Angry Birds!
(I didn't tell her, but I had it on my phone.)

In between everything...
she told me a story about a frog...her frog.
And as I asked her questions...
she went on and on like a pro with so much detail and excitement.
I couldn't help but smile as I typed quickly trying to follow along.

Once upon a time...

there was a frog named, Hoppie.

Hoppie was jumping on lily pads that had bright pink flowers on them.

These pink flowers smelled cotton candy.

Hoppie decided he would go out and find a friend.

He found a bird.

This bird was a wood pecker with big wings and very big legs.

He lived in a tree that was in a forest that was very dark only at night.

Hoppie always tried to find his wood pecker friend, but never wanted to because the forest
was always very dark.

Instead, he would try and find another friend.

Wood pecker didn't know this because he was always asleep during the day.

Hoppie found a turtle friend named Shelldin.

Shelldin was a very slow turtle.

Hoppie and Shelldin loved to have picnics...and always seemed to find a good spot.

Hoppie would eat dragon flys and Shelldin would eat popcorn.

When they left it was really dark.

Along the way, Hoppie saw his old friend, Wood pecker.

Wood pecker was so sad because Hoppie found a new friend.

Since Wood pecker was so sad, Hoppie wanted to be both of their friends.

Shelldin loves to play volleyball with his head and is very good at it too.

Wood pecker loves to peck the trees.

And Hoppie loves to play with both of them and sometimes by himself.

And they lived happily ever after....

the end.

Ya never know...
she could be the next J. K. Rowling.

Thrifty Thursday!

On my lunch break today,
I scurried on over to the Goodwill that is
right behind our branch.
{scurried : verb; fast pace walking if you want to shop and eat in a timely matter}

My love only grows more and more for this place each day.
And I'm not lying.
It never lets me down.

Drum roll please...............

Mud Pie glass serving set with spreader

And a so so cute tan purse...
that I shall be carrying tomorrow.

And since we're on the ball with thrifting...
here's my other previous finds...

I'm thinking if this humorous quote was framed or even
on a different object...
it might look kinda cute in a bathroom...
but on this?
I refrained.

...and what a bargain this thing was!
Up and down in 60 seconds! I was kidding on the stripper pole ...
I still believe Tricia thinks I bought it...
{smiley wink}
but in all honesty...
I left it for the 60 year old woman lurking behind me
when I snapped the picture.

But this here beauty is what I really excited about!
$7.99 and a can of spray paint made for this
gorgeous mirror. vision is of it over the crib of a sleeping babe...
whenever that day might come.

side note:
Speaking of Tricia over at Mama Marchand's Musings...
please say a prayer right now for her baby girl, N...
and her sweet family.

Wee Bit Wednesday!

There's seriously nothing like a fun link up to get me in the blogging mood again.
I feel like I haven't been posting much at all lately...
but like I said...I'm trying to hop back on my bandwagon.

what's your guilty pleasure t.v. show?
I have to say Jersey Shore.
Yes, I know. It's total trash...and so not what I should watch...
but it sucks me in, and I sit there in total disbelief on what I see before my eyes.
Snooki? The Situation...?
Bless their heart.

ear piercings on men : yes or no?
no. no. no. and no.
I say that after I dated a guy with ear rings,
and I guess my taste has changed because it's just not my thing.

do you have dish or comcast?
Direct. Yup.

what's your favorite current fashion trend?
I gotta go with the feathers in the hair.
The more I see them the more I like them.
At first, I must say I wasn't too fond of them...
but my bestie got some...and they look pretty cute.
if you could learn anything,
money not being an issue,
what would it be?
I'm gonna go with race car driving.
When I sat here and tried to brainstorm some things,
I thought that would be so much fun...and such a thrill.
red or white wine?
I have yet to find a wine that I love.
Seriously peeps.

what type of food is your favorite?
(ex : Mexican, Italian...)
Mexican no doubt. I could eat it every single day and still love it
like the first time I tried it. I love that stuff.

hp or mac?
I want a mac so freaking bad.
I've used one before...and like I said,
I want one....bad.

what color is your bedroom?
A light tan, nuetral color.

what's your favorite form of exercise?
I love to play racquetball. It's so much fun, and such a stress reliever.

Lots of Lovin' and Cuddlin'...

Hello sweet peeps.
I'm alive and well.

I feel like I've fallen off my bandwagon of blogging
but I'm trying my best to get back on track and get it going again.

Besides loving on my handsome hubs...
I've been cuddling up with my fur babies this evening....

{these pics were taken over the weekend}

They lead such a hard life, huh?

Good night and sweet dreams friends!

Show Us Your : Wedding Day

Oh how I love to look back on the day we got married.

It was the best day of my life....
or one of them for that matter.

I had seriously planned on having a wedding..
my gown was rented
{yes, greatest idea ever},
my fake flowers were purchased...
and the church was almost booked.

Let's just say I don't handle stress or planning very well.
It makes me wanna go bonkers and jump off a cliff.
Well, not literally but I don't do stress.

I took the dress back...
saved a flower of the many I had already bought...
and made my announcement to everyone that
my guy and I were going to the Justice of the Peace at 1:15 in the afternoon
on December 5th,
and who wanted to be there could be.

No it wasn't the prettiest place or my top pick...
but it was cheap, it was fast...
and all that mattered was that we were getting married.
I just couldn't wait any longer to marry my man.

After saying "I do"....
we went to Logan's Steakhouse
{a favorite of ours}
and grabbed a bite to eat.
I loved having my family there.

The following day my parents through us a reception at their house.
It was wonderful.

My family and some of my closest friends were there to celebrate.

I loved that we didn't go broke on getting married...
and I loved that it was small and quaint.
Picture perfect in our eyes.

Next up...our honeymoon! :)

10 / 52 : Morning

A Styrofoam cup and some creamer is all I need for my
morning cup of coffee.

And in my's better than those lattes at Starbucks.

My Brain Purge

Friends...I have a confession to make.
I'm going through a blogging rut right now where I'm having
to scrape up the desire to sit down and blog.
{insert sad face here}

This rut I think is due to not really feeling like I have anything to talk about.
There's nothing interesting going on right now,
and so I feel like everything I have to blog about is the same old same old...

....but like a true blog-aholic...I'm going to stay true to this
little blog of mine, and give you what I have.
Because really truly, this blog has turned in to
a kinda sorta digital scrapbook.

The other day, I finally took Buck to the vet for his allergies.
They just weren't easing up, so we opted for him to receive a
Cortisone shot...something we wanted to do as a last resort.
We have started giving him 1/2 of a Claritin pill everyday, and
since then...he has eased up tremendously on the licking and chewing.

I got super sad the other night, and cried myself to sleep.
Sometimes it is so hard to sit back and wait for my husband to be ready,
and to feel like it's time to have a baby.
Everyone around me is pregnant, or getting pregnant...
and although I am so excited and happy for them...
it's what I want and desire so much.

This past Sunday when I went to the county fair,
I got behind this...
the cutest little goat.

My husband has his Final Fantasy Football draft this Saturday...
one of two that is.
Hello football season!

I love this picture!
It's 3 of the most important people in my life.
After Cameron's football practice, we went and grabbed
some shakes and burgers for dinner.

Tomorrow is one month till our vacation.
It seriously cannot get here fast enough.

I made homemade Pimento Cheese for lunch today,
and it was delicious. I'm hooked on it.

I love finding things like this.
I was at the house of Denise's parents...
when I looked at the fridge and saw what I wrote 6 years ago!

Well, lovelies...
I'm off to take a dip in the pool.

Have a wonderful evening!

Like my old school principal used to say...

"Make it a great day or not,
the choice is yours."

Happy Wednesday, friends!

Cameron's First Football Practice

This evening my hubs and I got to go see Cameron
attend his first ever Football practice
as an official Lebanon "Bandit".
{That's their team's name}

Of course I had to take a gazillion pictures of this
major event.
{My honey took note of that. I told him since when have I ever
not taken any pictures of every day life...and he shut up then}

Mike was so excited seeing him practice.
And I'm not gonna fib and say I didn't think once about
this being in our future with our own kids.

Only I would take pictures of my feet.
I don't know what it is considering I hate my feet...
let alone feet in general.

Yup...I knew editing these pictures and starting a post at midnight
{due to slight case of insomnia}
would cause duplicates.

I'm telling myself that's
a big fat oh well.

My First....

Okay people...
get your minds out of the gutter.
{if I came across a title like this...I would automatically think something
romantic or maybe a little sleazy...but no, not on here...sorry}

I have been sitting here trying to brainstorm some ideas
for a snazzy little post title...
but unfortunately this is all I have.

Tonight I experienced my first taste of heaven. all it's Southern, deep fried glory that is.

No other place I'm guessing,  you could find yourself some deep fried Oreos or candy bars...
or even Cheese cake for that matter...
than the County Fair.
Our Wilson County Fair that is.

I didn't get to take as many pictures as I wanted because my battery was dying.
It always, always seems to happen that way.
When I want to capture some good pictures...bam, it dies.

Since my hubby was still working his shift at the ticket booth...
I met up with some friends and walked around with them.

I just love this little girl, Kylie.
She has the biggest personality ever for that little body of hers.

I love some good ol' church hymns...
like Victory in Jesus....and the Old Rugged Cross.

We couldn't have asked for better weather than today.
The breeze was wonderful for such a warm day.

The hypnotist put on a good show....
I still don't see how those people could be faking some
of the things they do.

Lilly got put in the dog show...
she placed 2nd in her division...
however she was one of only two dogs.

I love the look of Farris Wheels.
I thought this one turned out so pretty.

And these my friends are the Oreos in all of their glory...

Thank goodness I have no clue how
to make them!!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Before I head to the park, I wanted to do a quick link up
with Jamie!

A couple weekends ago, I went with my husband for a branch outing
at a local Bar & Grill. It was yummy, and so much fun.
The more I look at this picture, the more I like it.
My hubs looks so handsome, and happy in it!

I am in the process of working on my very first blog give away...
and I'm uber duber excited!!
Details to come!

I have always been a Jolly Ranchers junkie.
My love for the Lemon flavor sizzled once they discontinued it...
but however, I did rekindle my love for these Smoothie Ranchers.

I started painting again last night. I hate not having a work space
that I don't have to worry about getting paint on anything.
The kitchen table just doesn't cut it.

I spoke to the doctor about my concerns with doing the
Stress and Echo tests as just a precautionary step
{basically seeing if I could go without having those done, and just get a sleep test done}.
He said that he didn't see anything wrong with not having them
done...but it was something that we should definitely keep an eye on.
I'm going to talk to my insurance and see about the next step being a Sleep test.

With today being my day off...I got to sleep in a little bit.
I woke up to this little face right next to mine.
Oh how I love my Buck.

And for my Pinterest loves...

Happy Wednesday, friends...

now show us your loves!
