I'd like a Garden

..with Zucchini, Squash and corn...
with a little bit of Cucumbers, and Tomatoes.

Every time we leave Jimmy and Michelle's place,
that's usually the first or second thing I say to the hubs.

And I'd take this sweet girl too.
She's so precious!

I'm thinking Squash and Green Beans are a definite
for this week's menu!

Thanks Michelle! :)

I always wanted a garden, too. But it seemed like so much work, and what if I didn't do it right; and what about the soil, and the sun, and what do you do first, and, and, and..
And then one day I stumbled upon a book called "The All New Square Foot Gardening" on Amazon and bought it, and I devoured every page with so much inspiration and delight that I couldn't wait to get started and wasn't afraid one bit!
I loved that he said now you can garden without all the work, without all the guessing, without all the weeding, without all the room, and have fun, fun, fun!
God bless Mel Bartholomew - he was right!
This retired executive man's idea that he had come up with simply to be occupied in his retirement spread around the world, became a ministry, and 35 years later it is still a system being taught. What a blessing!
See if the library has the "all new" version and you can get started!
I have a garden that is only a 3 foot square garden and supply myself with almost all my greens that I eat every day. And I taught my daughter back home how to do the same thing in pots on her balcony apt and she is growing tomatoes, jalapenos and cilantro - she said she wanted a Salsa Garden - LOL!
Now, as for the cute little girl in the might have to grow your own. :)

How awesome! That'd be fun, but I'd get bored with it after a while, so feel free to send some cucumbers my way ;)
